The path of L-tryptophan in the body
L-tryptophan is converted into serotonin by your body. as soon as it enters your brain after consumption. Those who have enough serotonin in the body, the brain allows a transformation of this serotonin to melatonin, which is colloquially called "sleep hormone".
The pineal gland in the brain forms melatonin in the dark. Melatonin hence contributes to the preparation of the body to the sleep phase, and thus influences the day-night rhythm.
L-Tryptophan is essential
The L-Tryptophan capsules provide your body with the essential amino acid in high dosage. The body cannot form it on its own, and yet it is needed by everyone. The amino acid L-tryptophan is thus an essential amino acid, which you must actively supply to your body from the outside.
Your body generally uses the amino acids to produce proteins, which perform a variety of tasks and functions. Along with transport proteins, there are, for example, tehe so-called structural proteins. Amino acids are decomposed and rebuilt in the body also with the aim to further build other endogenous substances.
Enjoy a healthy sleep
Your body needs enough sleep. During the sleeping-resting phase, the regeneration of your body takes place, giving you the necessary energy for the following day. How much sleep a person exactly needs is very individual. On average, the required sleep duration is around six to nine hours a day.
Independent of the number of hours you need: always avoid to fall below your individual sleep. Whoever does not get enough sleep on a regular basis, often feels weak and without energy.
Sleep disorders are common
You suffer from chronic sleep disorder, if you do not sleep continuously or restoratively for more than one month in three or more nights per week, and as a result you experience fatigue or irritability. L-Tryptophan is confirmed by studies
With L-Tryptophan you get a dietary food that has been tested in studies, which prove the sleep-promoting properties of the essential amino acid.
In fact, L-tryptophan is converted in the body into serotonin, which is the starting substance for the sleep-inducing hormone melatonin. Take two capsules containing a total of 1000 milligrams of the essential amino acid L-tryptophae, approximately half an hour before sleeping, in order to treat sleep disorders effectively.
1,000 mg of L-tryptophan are sufficient
In order to treat sleep disorders dietetically, you will need 2 capsules of L-Tryptophan ZeinPharma per day. Two capsules of ZeinPharma® L-Tryptophan contain 1000 milligrams of the essential amino acid.
Reaching the same amount with food would be a challenge. You would have to eat about 170 grams of soybeans, 600 grams of walnuts, drink two liters of cow's milk with 3.8 percent fat or you would need to consume about one kilogram of unpeeled rice.
Carbohydrates increase the uptake of L-tryptophan
A valuable tip is to consume a carbohydrate-rich snack or drink, such as fruit juice, together with the L-tryptophan capsules. This may help in the uptake of L-tryptophan in the brain.
Avoid protein-rich meals or L-tryptophan intake, because these inhibit the uptake of L-tryptophan into the brain. Every protein is composed of amino acids, into which they are decomposed during digestion. When these amino acids reach the blood-brain barrier at the same time as L-tryptophan, the individual amino acids compete with each other. As a result, your brain absorbs less L-tryptophan, the more amino acids are in total in your blood.
